BILINGUAL LEGAL ASSISTANT  – FULL TIME

Pay Range: $22 – $26 per hour

The Immigration Program provides legal services primarily related to humanitarian visas, family reunification, DACA, and U.S. citizenship. Our attorneys and accredited representatives also offer legal representation before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). 


Job duties involve contact with clients, as well as a range of duties that include responding to telephone calls, email and text messages, scheduling appointments, preparing basic legal forms and correspondences, organizing documents and maintaining complete electronic client files. 


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements 

* Must be fluent in English and Spanish – bilingual. 

* Must possess at least a high school diploma/equivalent. 

* College coursework or previous experience as a legal assistant preferred. 

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships through effective communications and listening skills and ability to function in a busy and dynamic work setting. 


Principle Accountabilities & Duties 

 * Attend meetings and translate (Spanish to English) conversations for the Director of the Legal Immigration Program. 

* Keep clients informed about legal mattes using telephone, email, Zoom, and Microsoft Office 365 applications. 

* Prepare current legal forms and documents. 

* Proofread documents records, or other files to ensure accuracy. 

* Maintain legal documents and information to ensure client files are secure and complete. 

* Efficiently send information, materials, or documents to clients and outside agencies in a timely manner. 

* Regularly operate standard office equipment, printing, copying, faxing, and scanning as needed. 

* Identify legal information by searching electronic and paper files, online databases and reference materials.  

* Evaluate client evidence as it relates to legal matters in public or personal records. 

* Attend staff meetings and coordinate legal schedules or activities. 

* Attend and participate in regular training programs and/or continuing legal education classes. 

* Maintain up to date client demographic, contacts, and outcomes data in Holy Cross Ministries’ client data management systems. 

* Serve as a member of the Holy Cross Ministries community dedicated to fulfilling the mission of Holy Cross, by serving clients and volunteers in an atmosphere of hospitality which is characterized by cooperation, and a positive, respectful relationship with each individual. 

* Willingly accept new assignments and perform other duties that may be assigned from time-to-time.

LEGAL ASSISTANT– PART-TIME POSITION

Position Summary: The Director of Development will work with the Holy Cross Ministries management team to plan and execute resource development strategies, monitoring progress toward overall goals. Provide direction and support to the CEO and the Board of Directors to assist with cultivation and solicitation of major gifts and grants from individuals, corporations, foundations, government agencies, and others. Direct the identification, research, cultivation, and solicitation of major gift individual prospects, and donors.  Conduct face-to-face solicitations, involving the CEO, and key individuals, as appropriate. Provide direction to development and communications staff, as needed, in their role of supporting the overall resource development efforts of the organization. Prepare and present correspondences, applications, proposals, and/or reports for individuals, corporations, foundations and government funding sources.

Primary Responsibilities: Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Development is responsible for the acquisition, engagement, cultivation and solicitation of donors in support of the mission of Holy Cross Ministries.

Accountabilities:

  1. Plan for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for gifts from business partners, individuals, foundations and government agencies; 
  2. Support and mentor CEO, Board, Management, and staff in their development efforts;
  3. Serves as the primary staff liaison with the board committees and volunteer fundraising committees and as a resource to the board of directors on all matters related to fundraising and communications;
  4. Manage and empower the development team and contractors in designing and fulfilling their goals;
  5. Proactively utilize and manage in-house database for donor management, donor updates, mailings and identification of lapsed donors;  
  6. Prepare reports, forecasts and other written materials as needed; 
  7. Work closely with HCM programs to understand educational and community outreach activities in order to pursue funding and to assist in clearly aligning donor interests with HCM;
  8. Participate in the cultivation and solicitation of HCM’s prospects for gift opportunities, special events, site tours etc.; 
  9. Track data and outcome measures for campaigns; provide funding analysis, reports and forecasts as needed;  
  10. Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.

Desired Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree required. Three (3) years or more experience in annual grant writing, special events management, gift solicitation and portfolio management with individual and/or foundation and corporate prospects in the non-profit sector. Experience with government funding sources, and related accountabilities. A track record of meeting or exceeding sales or fundraising goals. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage volunteers and donors. Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will productively engage with a small development team and executive leadership. High energy and passion for the mission of Holy Cross Ministries. A professional and resourceful style. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with a database software such as Donor Perfect, Raiser’s Edge, or other CRM software. Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Position Title: Data Analytics Manager

Reports To: Executive Director/CEO

Purpose of the Position: The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for data governance functions of the organization which include interpreting for usability, ensuring availability, monitoring for integrity, analyzing results, and using statistical techniques. In collaboration with the leadership team of Holy Cross Ministries (HCM) the incumbent works to develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and strategies to optimize data use, quality, and efficiency. This position works in close collaboration with staff, senior managers, and development staff to support accurate and quality outcomes reporting across the organization.

Responsabilidades:

  • Collaborates with HCM Leadership to ensure good data governance
  • Provides support and training to staff in entering data, reading reports, and in metric development
  • Interprets data, build reports and dashboards, and analyzes results using statistical techniques
  • Queries HCM’s SQL data warehouse and builds reports for supervisors, directors and grant compliance
  • Identifies, analyzes trends and patterns in datasets

Requisitos:

SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAM CLEANING CLASSROOM ASSISTANT

Holy Cross Ministries is seeking a cleaning classroom assistant for its School Readiness Program. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we need to ensure our preschool students and teachers are safe in a clean and sanitized environment. This classroom assistant will be responsible for cleaning certain parts of the school site following health and safety guidelines.
