GUIDING GOOD CHOICES
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
In partnership with Summit County Mental Wellness Alliance and Communities that Care, Holy Cross Ministries offers Guiding Good Choices workshops, an evidence-based program for parents of kids ages 9 to 14 that strengthens family relationships and is proven to help prevent substance abuse and depression in children.
WORKSHOP CURRICULUM
Each five-week series of two-hour workshops empower families to face the challenges of adolescence by covering
- Risks of substance abuse
- Conflict resolution
- Healthy boundary setting
- Resistance to peer pressure
- Effective communication
