Learning to ski can be tough! Luckily, the Niños on Skis get a lot of support.
A tradition of caring for our community's future.
In 1998, Father Bob Bussen and the people of St. Mary's Parish had a vision of helping Hispanic children in Park City learn to ski by connecting community members with local Hispanic families and embracing diversity. This year Aimee Cunniff, our Finance Director, organized the program for 53 Hispanic children from Park City and Heber to learn how to ski in a program sponsored by St. Mary's. Participating children get free ski lessons and equipment, and sponsoring families take them out on the slopes to enjoy the snow!
The program would not be possible without generous sponsorships from Park City Mountain Resort and Aloha Ski & Snowboard. The program also relies on financial donations, as well as the caring, dedicated sponsoring families who commit their time & resources to helping Hispanic children enjoy the amazing skiing that Park City has to offer. Each year the program gets bigger and better because of this wonderful support from the Park City community. Happy Skiing Niños!
