Advocating for Immigrants

Gabriela Archuleta and Sister Veronica Fajardo work tirelessly in Holy Cross Ministries' immigration department to help victims of violence and their families attain legal status in the United States. Recently, they've taken on even more work on behalf of the clients we serve. They are participating in the Enriching Utah Coalition, which brings together a wide variety of advocacy organizations to help raise awareness in Utah's communities of the value that immigrants bring to our neighborhoods.

The Enriching Utah Coalition argues that immigrants benefit Utah economically, culturally and socially; that effective immigration law must be enacted and administered at the federal level; and that human rights and human dignity must be respected. We are proud to work with the coalition in our continuing struggle to help the most vulnerable among us.
