History

In 1875, the first Sisters of the Holy Cross arrived in Utah along with an unprecedented migration of miners and railroad workers. Their mission was simple: to aid the underserved migrants and their families by building and staffing schools and hospitals that provided care without regard to circumstance.

Holy Cross Ministries was created in 1994 to continue their tradition of dedication and service.

Though now we are facing challenges alongside a new wave of immigrants, our focus is the same: We strengthen the community by respecting the dignity of our clients and remaining vigilantly responsive to their needs.
